Desde 1975 que a Coordenação do Ensino organiza cursos de português dirigidos a alunos familiarizados com a língua. Estes cursos estão vocacionados para alunos com uma ligação ao português, seja através da família ou da comunidade em que estão inseridos.
Os cursos complementares acolhem crianças a partir dos sete anos de idade com os mais diversos níveis de conhecimento da língua. Muitos alunos prosseguem os estudos de português e fazem os exames do sistema britânico: GCSE, AS e A2. A Coordenação oferece ainda cursos a distância e ensino combinado (a distância + presencial).

Supplementary courses
The Portuguese Education Department offers Portuguese language courses to suit the needs of students from a Portuguese speaking background.Children can attend classes from seven years old onwards and we welcome different levels of language skills. Many students go on to prepare for their Portuguese GCSE, AS and A2 exams. We offer distance learning and blended learning (distance + contact time).
